Luxury Holiday Tips for Savings

A luxury holiday usually involves paying out a fortune in hard earned cash but there are ways to get that dreeam luxury holiday but save money along the way.

Their are many savings to be made on your flight, especially if you are flexible about travel dates.

You can often make savings of over $100 or more by simply visiting websites like Travelocity which give flexible travel date airfares. With a Travelocity Coupon you can make substantial savings, letting you splash out more on your luxury accommodation.

Signing up to free email subscriptions will keep you up to date with the latest discounted fares for unsold flights and special promos being offered by airlines.

The largest savings are made when you book your holiday early, at least three weeks to one month before the scheduled departure. Fares can range from $444 for booking 5 days before to $ 192 if booked 26 days before a flight.

Find out which day of the week flights go empty and plan to travel then. Studies show that most people like traveling on week ends and Monday but the mid- week is comparatively rush free. Look up the fares and you may find that the difference can be as much as $ 100 or more.

If you destination has more than one airport check what it costs to fly to either. Often the saving can be as much as $ 200 when you choose a less crowded airport and funnily enough the distance from the airport to your destination may be the same from the alternative airport. Check on sites like Travelocity, Orbitz or Kayak to access list of alternative airports and a fare comparison.

Choose round trip or multi-destination fares. This is a considerable saving of over US$ 500 and more. Most airlines have multi-city specials so if your work or holiday travel encompasses more than one destination consider such options.

Be travel smart and surf the web to make a comparison chart. Check out travel sites, agencies, as well as the airlines themselves. Whether you are traveling within the country or abroad there are wonderful deals to be availed. Read as many travel articles and tips given by travel gurus as you can and soon you will be master of ?cheap travel.?

Cabo San Lucas Luxury Spa Resorts

It's understood that the reason for vacations is to sever yourself from the monotonies of the day-in and day-out routine. No one knows this better than the resorts in Cabo; which is why it's trend, as you'll come to notice, that the spas with a grocery-list of services and amenities tend to sit a tier above the rest.

While most resonate a similar theme in terms of the great lengths they'll go to pamper their guests, some steal the spotlight from others and, in turn, become worthy of recognition.

Three resorts, in particular, fit this bill. They are accurately designed for not only relaxation of the body, but of every one of your senses; from their striking aesthetics, to the latest treatments and therapies?all conditioned to purify and rejuvenate.

The atmosphere of the YHI Spa at ME Cabo mimics what we imagine an ancient Mayan spiritual to be like; dimly lit by soft yellow candlelight that franticly flickers the room on and off; and a sweet, relaxing perfume that rents the air and warms the nostrils. By the room's aura alone, one could quite possibly realize complete relaxation.

The Spa follows a ritual of sorts?the Anuiti Ritual?that retunes your mind and body to a state of unconcern and purity?Pericu (exfoliations), Tamaral (renewal), Altepetl (transformation), Tlatani (restoration), and Revitalization.

It was the YHI Spa at ME Cabo that offered one of the more surreal environments, relaxing us to states of near-comatose.

At the Desert Spa at Villa del Palmar, we were greeted by a very contemporary setting of polished marble floor and wood dcor and accent. 'Desert Spa' is affixed in gold script amidst a mural of cacti and desert fauna. What truly made the spa for us were the open spaces and simple arrangements, which emanated an air of professionalism and cleanliness.

Besides offering all the usual suspects?facials, body wraps, hot-stone massages, and a litter of restorative body products?there is also a full-service beauty salon on the premises as well as a number of couples' packages.

Casa del Mar's Spa was another favorite of ours, namely because of their cornucopia of massage therapies; a massage for any and every ailment. Your golfer's swing a source of discomfort, even stabbing pain? They have a massage designed to fix that. Two hands just not enough surface area to satisfy your back? Well, option for their four-hands massage, a peculiar but pleasant sensation that results from the precise synchronization of four hands kneading away the tension from your back.

Resort spas are something of a delicacy; the icing on a cake, the nightcap to a stressful day; and all metaphors aside, they play an increasing factor to where vacationers choose to stay. On our quest to unearthing the eminent spas of Cabo, we came to the conclusion that what truly culls these three from the herd are that instead of haphazardly dumping a facility into a sprawling resort, the YHI Spa of ME Cabo, the Desert Spa of Villa del Palmar, and the Spa of Casa del Mar have built their services around the hotel and the guests, and not the other way around.

Cool Ica Oasis

This amazing place is built in the middle of the desert, around a small lake. Located in the Ica Province, near the city of Ica, Huacachina is known as the oasis of America, where many tourists come for the huge sand dunes and sand-surfing. The legend says the place was created by a princess caught bathing by a local hunter. The pool of water she left became a lagoon, while her mantle transformed into sand dunes. It is said that the princess inhabits the lagoon as a mermaid. Just wanted to share with you these amazing pictures:

Newquay more popular than ever

With the surge of award winning restaurants, stylish bars and smart hotels, all opening up along the Atlantic coastline of Newquay, the area has once and for all ditched its ?kiss-me-quick? reputation of old without losing any of its enduring popularity.

As the explosion in development has hit the town, so too has the standard in self-catering accommodation, with many holidaymakers now expecting 4 & 5 Star standards away from home. So too the expansion of Newquay Airport, with flights arriving from across the country has made the area accessible for all, even for weekend breaks.

Blue Chip Vacations represents over 300 handpicked 4 & 5 star holiday cottages and apartments, across the West Country, including almost 100 holiday cottages in Newquay. Each property is chosen for its stunning location, amazing coastal or rural views or hi-spec interior. Properties are reviewed each year to ensure they meet the high standard set not only by Blue Chip Vacations, but also by Quality in Tourism.

Liam Gavin, Managing Director, Blue Chip Vacations comments, ?Newquay is a unique holiday destination in that it appeals to such a diverse range of holidaymakers. Family Holidays are well catered for with the resort?s dozen beaches and there are also plenty of places to visit too, such as Newquay Zoo; the Blue Reef Aquarium; Lappa Valley Steam Railway and the Holywell Fun Park. Seashore Apartments, directly on Porth Beach, are luxury properties converted from a large Victorian house, whilst Towan Place, situated beside Fistral beach, offers affordable, 5 star luxury accommodation at the UK?s surfing capital all year round and is popular with beginners, and intermediate surfers alike.?

For family parties, and friends, that want to holiday together ? yet retain their own space - Newquay has plenty to keep the whole group interested. From golf to the Extreme Sports Academy, the Lost Gardens of Heligan to the National Maritime Museum, there is plenty to do in the region. The Horizons apartments overlooking Newquay and the North Cornwall coast have sensational views across the coastline and have been individually designed with excellent on-site facilities including a gym, sauna/steam room and an indoor swimming pool. The smallest apartments sleep 4, larger sleep six, so groups can holiday under the same roof and meet in the swimming pool in the morning.

Added to that some of the most rugged coastal scenery, and the success of Jamie Oliver?s Fifteen restaurant in Watergate Bay, and Newquay is fast becoming a focal point both for ?Foodies? keen to sample seafood cooking at its best and for walkers and birdwatchers too.
